Hi, thanks for your comments, all are relevant and extremely valid. The buckle I posted is a100% genuine with a history. As everyone knows, with a lot of DJ buckles , standardisation was not always the norm, different fixings exist, it is normally the provenance that is a deciding factor- and even that can be faked. Take Weidmann two piece black field buckles, a good proportion of the Weidmann fixings were prongs and not spot rivets but that doesn’t mean that either fixing is wrong. With two piece buckles there is also the added problem that in some cases two piece buckles were fixed on ad-hoc having become dislodged.
