BDM Kletterweste- press stud insignia

Gentlemen,

Would appreciate some help with this one. It looks like a good, standard BDM jacket to me, in terms of cut, materials etc. Compares well to several others I have. However I wonder about the sleeve insignia: they are attached by sewn-on press-studs, likely for ease of removal and washing? I've seen the white summer Wehrmacht and SS tunics with such removable insignia, but not yet encountered such on a BDM or HJ piece.

Hi Enthusiast , it has been a common practice during the Third Reich to care for everything that costs money. Even the patches were probably RM 0,30 and people those days tried to protect these patches from being washed out. Have attached for you a triangle that might have been rubbed off or washed out .
